Request deletion by email
Email the operator of ecomsbd at the monitored address below. This option is available to shop owners and team members, including people who can no longer access their account.
The link opens your email app. Send the message to submit your request, or copy the address into your preferred email service.
- Use the subject “ecomsbd account and data deletion request”. Send from your registered account email if possible.
- Include the email used for your ecomsbd account and the relevant shop name. State whether you want to delete a specific shop, your account across all shops, or particular personal data.
- If you cannot use the registered email, explain that in your message. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and authority before acting. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, API keys or courier credentials.
We use your message and contact details to verify the request, coordinate its processing and respond. The operator will review the scope, explain any records that need to remain and the reasons, and confirm the outcome. A team member cannot authorise deletion of a shop they do not own; requests concerning that membership or personal account information can still be reviewed.
Use the existing in-app option
A shop owner can open Settings → Your data and privacy → Closing your account in the ecomsbd app and follow the confirmation steps. The app shows the scheduled deletion date and provides an option to cancel during the cooling-off window. Access continues until the deletion workflow runs.
The in-app workflow applies to the selected shop. If you have another active shop membership, deleting one shop does not automatically delete that other shop or the identity needed to access it. Email us if your request covers your whole account or you cannot use the in-app option.
What the current deletion workflow removes
- Customer profile names, phone details, addresses and notes are anonymised; specified CRM free text and message content/recipient details are cleared.
- Shop sessions and memberships are revoked, device push tokens are removed, and the shop name and pickup contact/address are cleared.
- Import/export files stored in R2 are removed. For members with no other active shop membership, account contact details are cleared and the linked Supabase authentication identity is deleted.
What may remain and why
Financial ledger entries, receivables, payouts, profit records, audit history and payout source evidence remain for reconciliation, accountability, operational integrity and disputes. There is no single fixed retention period for all records. Records may be retained for as long as necessary for those purposes or for security, fraud prevention, applicable legal obligations and enforcement.
The automated workflow does not erase every stored copy. Order/address snapshots, original imported or pasted information, integration/event records, supplier records and connection configuration can remain and may still contain personal information. They are not all anonymous. You can request review and further erasure by email; the operator will assess the affected data and any justified need to retain it. Retention is not automatically justified merely because the software currently keeps a record.
Deleting an ecomsbd account does not itself erase information independently held by a courier, connected store or other provider, or files you downloaded. Use the relevant provider’s deletion controls for its own records.
If you bought from an ecomsbd seller
Contact the shop you bought from about its customer/order records. ecomsbd processes that information on the seller’s behalf. You can also email us with the shop name so we can help direct your request to the responsible seller.
For the information we process, service providers, security and other controls, read the ecomsbd Privacy Policy.
